80,000m3 Water Treatment Plant

This Project is a Design-Build-Operate contract for the complete civil and electro-mechanical works for the rehabilitation and upgrade of an existing water treatment plant to produce 80,000 m3/day of potable water for the City of Port Louis; all whilst maintaining full operation of the plant. Works include the rehabilitation of existing slow sand filters and new construction of pre-treatment works, rapid gravity filters, backwash and chemical treatment plants and buildings, pump galleries and operations rooms together with connecting pipework, new road networks and replacement of the boundary walls. Contractor’s operation of the Plant is for a period of two years.
