770ha Centre Pivot Irrigation

This Project to provide irrigation to 770 ha of land belonging to Small Planters was carried out as a Design-Build, Turnkey Contract. The work required the replacement of an existing out-dated irrigation system by a modern, hi-tech system using fully telemetry remote controlled Centre Pivots of up to 450m radius and solid sets for inaccessible areas. The Contract required the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of the complete system including water supply mains, pumps, filters, in-field pipe networks and control systems, in-field electrical and telemetry installations, SCADA as well as the 15 Centre Pivot and 14 Solid Set irrigation units.
